Each trip is different depending on where it is and for how long a team is needed. Generally a short-term trip will be anywhere from 10 days to one month.
How much does it cost?
Costs depend on the length of the trip, the distance to get there (airfare), and what part of the world it is in. Costs can range from 300 to 700 Euro for a 10 day to two week trip. Costs will go up the longer you stay.
How do I pay?
The total amount for your trip will need to be paid in full prior to departure. If you are unable to make the full payment at once, we can work out a payment plan for you. All payments will need to be made in cash.
How do I prepare for a trip?
There is much you can do to prepare, and Emprise will help you. Most importantly we want people who have a serious walk with the Lord and have a heart for reaching the lost. Prior to your departure you will be given a check-list for preparing. This will include medical requirements, and an orientation.
How can I learn more about the people I will serve?
You can contact Eagles of Peace for details about the people you are going to serve. We will also give you links to websites that you can read on your own as you prepare.
Will there be a team leader?
Yes. Each Emprise team will have an experienced worker(s) who will accompany each team that goes out. That team leader will be with the group from orientation and departure until arrival back home .
What about getting a visa?
We cannot obtain visas for you, but we will give you direction in how you can apply for a visa and what the requirements are for obtaining one.
What is the team language?
The team language will generally be in English. Most of the workers that will be receiving Emprise teams will be English speaking. Also, since Emprise teams will be multi-ethnic, the default language will be English.
Who coordinates the trips?
Emprise is a division of Eagles of Peace and will be responsible for coordinating each trip .
When, where and for how long is orientation?
Orientation for a trip will be a week before departure. Location for orientation will depend on where most of the participants come from. Orientation will be one full day.
Do I have to be approved before I go?
Yes. Before you can go on a trip with Emprise, you will have to be approved by Eagles of Peace.
What forms do I need to fill out?
To begin with, you need to fill out an online application form. Once we have received that form, we will send out two reference forms—one to your pastor or leader and another to someone you have worked with in the past.
What ministry will I do?
The ministry you do will depend on what the receiving team is in need of. It could range from working with children in Vacation Bible School, to teaching English, to construction and medical work, etc.
